 General Silicone Sponge and Silicone Foam

• What is the difference between silicone sponge rubber and silicone foam rubber?
• Silicone sponge and silicone foam are used different raw materials resulting in different properties.  Sponge is 100% closed cell whereas foam has a modified structure with approximately 60% closed cells and 40% open cells.  There are more varieties of silicone sponge in different densities.  Silicone foam is generally light weight and generally manufactured in low density.
